Apr. 26—A Muhlenberg Township man remained in Berks County Prison on Tuesday on drug trafficking charges stemming from a raid last week on his Riverview Park home by state police narcotics officers who indicated it was part of a larger investigation of illegal sales of methamphetamine, fentanyl and other drugs.

Gage T. Marrone, 27, was detained Thursday when a team of Troop L vice/narcotics unit officers searched in his residence in the 1000 block of Boeshore Circle, according to the criminal complaint.

A state police news release issued Tuesday indicated that the Troop L Vice/Narcotics Unit was assisted by the Reading Police Department vice unit, the Berks County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.

The street value of the seizure was about $10,000.
