Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to
Ukraine’s Interior Minister, has praised the activities of guerrillas
whom he said invading Russian forces were threatening with death in
the occupied territories.

In an interview with NV on June 23, the official said that Ukrainian guerrillas and partisans were risking “death or torture at any moment” for their actions, such as blowing up the car of a penal colony head who had sided with the Russian invaders.

“To this end, special operations forces were created and a law on national resistance was passed, according to which, it is the task of the state to stimulate resistance at any cost to the Russian bastards,” he said.

“Therefore, such work will only intensify, because the motivation among the Ukrainian military and special services is crazy.”

A blast in the occupied city of Kherson on June 18 hit a car belonging to the head of the 90th penal colony, Yevhen Soboliev, who sided with Russian invasion forces. The collaborator received leg injuries.

Ukrainian guerrillas on June 20 shot at Russian invaders who were dining at a restaurant on the quay in occupied Kherson. Two Russians were killed and another one was wounded.
