According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia has lost 40,230 military personnel in the course of its full-scale military invasion in Ukraine.

Details: Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February and 28 July 2022 are estimated to be [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:
- Approximately 40,230 (+160) military personnel
- 1,742 (+4) tanks
- 3,979 (+8) armoured combat vehicles
- 894 (+11) artillery systems
- 258 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems
- 117 (+0) air defence systems
- 222 (+0) aircraft
- 190 (+0) helicopters
- 729 (+3) operational-tactical UAVs
- 174 (+0) cruise missiles
- 15 (+0) ships/boats
- 2,854 (+7) vehicles and tankers
- 75 (+0) special vehicles
The General Staff noted that the occupiers suffered their heaviest losses on the Kryvyi Rih front. The data is being confirmed.
