Russian invading forces are concentrating their
efforts on holding their lines on the Pivdennobuzhsky axis in Kherson Oblast
and regaining lost positions on the Kryvyi Rih axis, Ukraine’s General Staff said
in its morning report on July 28.
The Ukrainian military repulsed a Russian assault in the direction of Bruskinske and Bilohirka in the north-west of Kherson Oblast, with enemy troops suffering casualties and being forced to retreat, the General Staff said.
In order to constrain the actions of the Ukrainian military, the Russian army is using artillery and rocket fire, as well as tanks, in the areas of Trudolyubivka, Potemkine, Posad-Pokrovsky, Andriyivka, Blahodatne, Ternivky, Chervona Dolyna, Prybuzky, and Luparevo in Kherson Oblast.
Enemy air forces also carried out an airstrike in the area near the village of Novopetrivka in the north of Kherson Oblast.
The General Staff also said that three carriers of sea-based Kalibr type cruise missiles remain on staion in the waters of the Black Sea, outside of their bases.
