Belarus is not going to announce military mobilization,
Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko said during a press briefing on Sept.
23.
According to Lukashenko, Russian media is spreading rumors of imminent mobilization in Belarus.
“This mobilization is (happening) in Russia,” said Lukashenko.
“They are trying to rope us in… they need to cause a stir. There won’t be any mobilization. Those (rumors) are lies.”
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced a “partial” mobilization on Sept. 21, seeking to call up at least 300,000 reservists to fight in Ukraine.
Belarus, a close ally of Russia, has allowed Russian forces to invade and bomb Ukraine from Belarusian territory, but has refused calls to involve its military in the full-scale war.
