Brazil’s former leader, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has returned to power, after narrowly winning the country’s presidential election.
The left-wing candidate beat the far-right incumbent, Jair Bolsonaro, after securing 50.9% of the votes.
In his victory speech, he thanked both his supporters and his opponents who had taken part in the poll.
