On 2 November, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting in Kyiv with José Manuel Albares, Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. They spoke, in particular, about the protection of the Ukrainian skies.

I thanked Spain for the new defence aid package for our country. We discussed what could strengthen our defence further. In particular, we are working together with Spain to provide an ‘air shield’ for Ukraine.”
Details: Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked José Manuel Albares for Spain’s comprehensive support during the ongoing armed aggression of Russia.
The Ukrainian leader said he highly appreciated the humanitarian support from Spain, in particular the present delivery of 30 modern ambulances.
He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and assistance to Ukrainian citizens who were forced to seek refuge in Spain because of the war.
