Russian officials are not invited to
the next Munich Security Conference (MSC), conference chairman Christoph Heusgen announced on Twitter on
Nov. 21.

“We will not give them a platform for their propaganda,” he stated.

The future of Russia will be discussed with “Russian opposition leaders and exiled people,” he noted, adding that “THEIR voices need to be heard and amplified.”

On Nov. 19, 2022, a few days before the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attended the 58th MSC.

In an emotional speech, that received a standing ovation from the audience, he named arms supplies to Ukraine as an investment into Europe and world security, and called on the West to honestly answer if they were ready to see Ukraine as a part of the Euro-Atlantic community.
