The Armed Forces of Ukraine have published an urgent address to the people of Belarus, calling on them to prevent the Republic of Belarus from getting involved in Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Quote: “The secret services of the Russian Federation are preparing a provocation on your territory. They may target critical infrastructure facilities, including the Ostrovets Nuclear Power Plant.”
Details: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that Russia is trying to get Belarus involved in the war against Ukraine “by any means”.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are asking Belarusians to demand that their leadership comply with Article 18 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, monitor the actions of suspicious people and transport near critical infrastructure facilities, inform law enforcement officers of such things, and if there is no response from their leaders, that the people of Belarus inform the world community by any available means.
Quote: “Ukraine does not regard your country as an enemy, and your people even less so…We are not going to and are not planning to conduct any aggressive actions on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. This is Ukraine’s official stance. A lot depends on every person today; we hope for your watchfulness and understanding of the situation.”
