Ukraine has spotted the placement of
equipment at the Crimean Titan plant near Armyansk, in the north of Ukraine’s
Russian-occupied Crimea, along with Russian army radiation, chemical and
biological protection (RCBP) units, the National Resistance Center (NRC) said
on Jan. 5.

It is not yet known what is the rationale for the presence of RCBP troops at the seized company. It can be training, or the requirements of the command of the invasion forces, the center said.

However, the NRC urges residents of Armyansk to temporarily refrain from walking outdoors.

The presence of military personnel at the facilities of the chemical industry is a violation of the norms of international humanitarian law, the NRC added.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russian land-, air-, and sea-based carriers of nuclear munitions are located in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said on Dec. 7 that the threat of nuclear war was “increasing.”

Ukrainian intelligence stated In September 2022 that they considered the threat of Russia’s use of tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine to be “very high.”

However, the Head of Ukraine’s Military Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, expressed the opinion that Russia would not launch a nuclear attack in the near future.
