International Sushi Day is on Tuesday, and several popular chains in the U.S. are offering deals and limited time offers to get the day rolling.
National grocery store chain Kroger is offering deals and a limited-time sushi roll to celebrate the holiday.
In-store customers can enjoy $2 off any sushi item valued at $11.99 or higher when they use a loyalty card. The chain is also running a buy one roll, get one free offer on DoorDash and Uber Eats.
After International Sushi Day, Kroger is running another deal for DoorDash DashPass members. The members can enjoy 50% off Kroger sushi orders of $20 or more from June 20 to July 24.

“Roll into Kroger and celebrate International Sushi Day or order for delivery to your doorstep through DoorDash and Uber Eats,” Dan De La Rosa, Kroger’s group vice president of Fresh Merchandising, said in a press release. “No matter how you find your favorites or explore innovative new rolls, Kroger’s fresh selection of sushi is specially prepared by chefs in our stores each day; promising restaurant-quality rolls at an everyday low price.”
The store is also offering a Cheetos Flamin’ Hot California Roll until July 31.
Kroger has been selling in-store sushi since 1991 and calls themselves “the largest sushi retailer in America.”
Japanese chain restaurant Benihana is offering a three-course sushi feast for two for $40 on Tuesday.
The meal deal includes an appetizer, two salads and any four sushi rolls. Diners can enjoy the feast in the lounge, bar area and patio of the restaurant. The deal is also valid on take-out orders.
Tax and gratuity are not included in the deal and it cannot be combined with other promotions.
RA Sushi, which has locations in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, New York, Nevada and Texas, is offering two Viva Las Vegas Rolls for the price of one for International Sushi Day. The roll has lightly battered imitation crab and cream cheese and it is topped with spicy tuna, imitation crab mix, sliced lotus root, sweet eel sauce and tempura bits.
