Felicity Jones is open to returning to ‘Star Wars’.

The 41-year-old actress starred as Jyn Erso in 2016’s ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, and although her character was killed off by the end of the film, Jones has now said she would consider reprising her role in a future project set before the events of the prequel film.
When Screen Rant asked ‘The Theory of Everything’ actress on whether she had completely shut the door on ‘Star Wars’, she said: “I mean, never say never.
“She’s a pretty bad-a** character. Maybe she could come back as a hologram or something, which is completely possible in the ‘Star Wars’ universe.”
‘Rogue One’ – which also starred Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Ben Mendelsohn and Mads Mikkelsen – followed a rag-tag team of rebels as they desperately try to steal the plans to the Galactic Empire’s new terrifying weapon, the Death Star.
This isn’t the first time Jones has commented on playing Jyn Erso again, as she previously teased she had some “unfinished business” with character.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter in 2020, the ‘On the Basis of Sex’ actress said: “I just keep saying that reincarnation is totally possible in the ‘Star Wars’ universe. So, I feel there’s unfinished business for Jyn, for sure.”
Jones added it would be “fascinating” to see her character take on the “dark forces” of the galaxy now that she was “older and wiser”.
She said: “I think it would be fascinating to see her getting older and wiser and fighting the dark forces in the universe, of which there are many it seems.”
