Louisville could see the return of snowfall before Wednesday’s aptly named full “Snow Moon” arrives in the skies above Kentucky.
The National Weather Service in Louisville issued both a winter storm watch and a flood watch for parts of south central Kentucky through Tuesday night with 1-2 inches of snow possible Monday evening through Tuesday.
“Starting tonight around midnight, we’re going to have an impactful winter storm start to move through the region,” NWS meteorologist Samantha Wilson said. “In the Bluegrass area, we’re expecting to see 2-4 inches of snow, could be a little bit higher toward 4-5 inches. Back toward the Louisville and Southern Indiana area, we’re expecting between 1-3 inches.”
