The singer, 40, was left devastated by his sudden death at the age of 34 and has now broken her silence on Instagram to remember her old friend.
She said online: “You always made every room so warm and welcome.
“There was no problem too big to solve and one of your many talents was effortlessly reminding women around the world of our Goddess nature with even just a simple blowout.”
Katy also shared a quote reflecting on grief, writing: “‘Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.’”
She ended her tribute with a personal message: “Jesus, you effervescent soul you, you better be giving the other Jesus a choppy feather or an octopus cut up there lol… till we meet again, I love you Chuy.”
Jesus, a Los Angeles-based stylist who had worked with high-profile celebrities, passed away last weekend, his sister Gris Guerrero confirmed.
She launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to transport his body to his hometown of Houston.
Gris said on the fundraising page: “It is with a heavy heart that we let the world know that Jesus Guerrero has gone to heaven.
“He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more … Unfortunately, his passing came very suddenly and unexpectedly.”
