The disgraced producer – who is currently in jail after being found guilty of sex crimes – has insisted there are still people in the movie industry who come to him for advice on their work.
In an interview with Candace Owen, he said: “I have friends who are still in the industry who slip me their screenplays and ask me for notes. “You know, can I do something for it? Can I help? Can I improve it? And I just give them my honest thoughts.
“So I’m not doing anything for me, but I’m doing things for others.”

Weinstein, 72, is currently serving a 16-year sentence after being convicted on rape and sexual assault charges in Los Angeles in 2022.
He is also awaiting a retrial after his 2020 convictions in New York for first-degree criminal sexual assault and third-degree rape were overturned.
In April 2024, the New York Court of Appeals vacated Weinstein’s 2020 rape conviction, ruling the inclusion of testimony from three women not involved in the charges prejudiced the jury.
Elsewhere in the new interview from jail, Weinstein has claimed he was “wrongfully convicted”.
