The 45-year-old actor and the ‘Bullet Train’ star, 37, are in talks to lead the live-action film adaptation of Capcom’s iconic video game franchise of the same name, Deadline reports.

Noah Centineo and Roman Reigns are also said to be discussing their possible involvement in the movie.

While no plot details about the ‘Street Fighter’ flick are known, the film is to be directed by Kitao Sakurai, who signed on to helm the project after Danny and Michael Philippou exited the project last June.

Debuting in 1987, ’Street Fighter’ is a classic fighting game franchise where martial artists from around the world compete in intense one-on-one battles.

Each fighter has unique abilities and backstories, with the series centred around global tournaments and the struggle against powerful villains like M. Bison.

This will be the third time ‘Street Fighter’ has received a live-action adaptation for the silver screen, with the franchise’s first cinematic outing coming in 1994 with the eponymous ‘Street Fighter’ – which was followed by 2009’s ‘Street Fighter: The Legend of Chu-Li’.

Momoa could most recently be seen in another video game adaptation, ‘A Minecraft Movie’, where he portrayed Garret ‘The Garbage Man’ Garrison.
