Ukrainian energy workers have begun restoring electricity to parts of Kyiv following a large-scale Russian attack on the city on the night of 27-28 September, which left some residents without power.

Details: DTEK reported that a number of Kyiv residents were left without electricity after the strike on the capital.

Quote: “Due to the attack on the capital, part of the residents lost power supply. As soon as energy workers received permission from the military and rescue workers, they immediately switched all buildings to backup lines during the repair period.”

More details: Despite the restoration of electricity to approximately 2,000 households in Kyiv, repairs are still ongoing.

  • The Russian drone attack caused serious damage in Kyiv. According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, at least four people were killed, including a child.

  • Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said a fire broke out on one of the floors of a state medical facility with possible casualties.

  • In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris fell into the yard of a residential building, igniting several vehicles.
