Will Mellor has been ghost hunting

The 49-year-old actor believes in “energies and spirits” and is keen to make contact with a spectre, even though the idea “scares” him.

He told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “I believe in energies and spirits and stuff we can’t explain. It scares me but I like the idea there is more to us than flesh.”

Will and his pal Ralf Little recently went ghost-hunting at The Four Crosses in Cannock, which is believed to be one of Britain’s most haunted buildings, where they witnessed a seance and stayed over as part of their TV series Will + Ralf Should Know Better.

But the former Hollyoaks star admitted he was “dreading” the trip and got very little sleep.

He said: “I was dreading it. I have a vivid imagination and have heard stories from my mum and sisters who said they’ve seen things that freaked them out and I believe them.

“I heard a banging noise three times in the night. It woke me up. I knew I wouldn’t sleep, I was like a meerkat all night. When daylight started coming in I felt safer and put my eye mask on!”

Meanwhile, Will recently admitted he is keen on a Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps reboot – but the BBC have rejected the ideas.

Will – who played Gaz Wilkinson from 2001 until 2011, when the show came to a natural end – told MailOnline: “I’ve tried. I even got a script written by [creator] Susan Nixon. A first episode draft called ‘Two Pints Last Orders’.
