Czech visa centres in Russia have closed, and from 30 September applications can only be submitted at the Czech Embassy in Moscow.

Quote: “The Czech Visa Application Centres in Russia are closing. The last submission day is 26 September 2025 in regional VACs, and 29 September 2025 in Moscow VAC.“

Details: From 30 September 2025, Russians can apply for a Czech Schengen visa directly at the consular section of the Czech Embassy in Moscow. Applications submitted through visa centres will be returned to clients after processing in the consular section in the usual manner.

Since October 2022, Czechia has not allowed Russians to enter on tourist or student visas.

Applications from citizens of Russia and Belarus may be accepted if they are family members of citizens of Czechia or the European Union, are invited by them or plan to travel together, or if they are travelling in the interests of Czechia (in such cases confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czechia is required).

On Tuesday 30 September, the Czech government decided to ban entry to Russian diplomats and holders of service passports who do not have national accreditation from Prague.
