President Volodymyr Zelenskyy convened a third meeting of the General Headquarters Staff in less than a week, the Office of the President reported on Sept. 4.
According to a press statement on the president’s website, Ukraine’s military command and intelligence services provided details on the situation on the front lines to President Zelenskyy, who reminded the world that “there are no days off in the war.”
The President also added that the nation’s leadership is “in constant contact with those on the front lines. I will not share the details, but the Ukrainian flags are returning to where they should be. And the occupiers have no place on our land.”
The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the National Security Council, the Minister of Defense and his deputy, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Chief of the General Staff, the Commander of the National Guard, the heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Infrastructure, and the Deputy Head of the Office of the President.
They were also joined via video link by the head of the Defense Intelligence, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the commanders of the Operational Commands “South” and “West”.
Zelenskyy previously convened high-level meetings on Sept. 1 and Sept. 2.
