A car carrying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was involved in an accident in Kyiv, the President’s press secretary, Serhii Nikiforov, reported on Sept. 15.
The president was examined by a doctor, and was found to have suffered no serious injuries.
“A car collided with the car of the President of Ukraine and escort vehicles, in Kyiv,” Nikiforov said.
“Medics accompanying the Head of State provided the driver of the car (that hit the president’s vehicle) with emergency aid and transferred him to an ambulance.
“The president was examined by a doctor – no serious injuries were found. Police officers will establish all of the circumstances of the accident.”
Earlier, the president returned from a visit to Izyum, a town in Kharkiv Oblast recently liberated from Russian occupation, where he had been visiting frontline troops and attending a flag-raising ceremony.
