Pensacola police arrest 51-year-old woman accused of attempting to rob Synovus Bank

Update: Wood told the News Journal PPD arrested 51-year-old Rescheca Lynell Marshall and charged her with attempted robbery with a firearm and attempted grand theft.

Original story: Pensacola Police Department officers are searching for a middle-aged Black woman who allegedly attempted to rob a Pensacola bank on Bayou Boulevard Tuesday morning.

PPD spokesman Mike Wood told the News Journal that the woman entered Synovus Bank around 11:10 a.m. and gave bank personnel a note that said she had a weapon and wanted money.

“She did not produce a weapon, she did not get any money and she left the bank” Wood said. “We are currently looking for her in the area and we believe she is on foot somewhere in the area.”

Wood said she was wearing a gray beanie and a dark jacket.
