‘The Grand Tour’ is set to return on June 16.
The Amazon Prime Video series is making it comeback next month, when Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will embark on a road trip across Central Europe.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “This will be a special like no other - and fans are going to lap it up.”
The new series is titled ‘The Grand Tour: Eurocrash’ and will see the three presenters set off on a 1,400-mile journey across the continent.
They will experience new adventures and unusual challenges as they travel from Gdansk in Poland, through Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia.
En route through Europe, the trio will sample some Soviet-style Formula 1 and recruit a famous racing driver, before taking part in a spectacular ‘Fast and Furious’ climax.
The TV insider added: “Nobody thought Central Europe would be an option for a road trip, but the lads have well and truly proven it’s a great destination for petrolheads.”
‘The Grand Tour’ was launched on Amazon in 2016 and Richard previously admitted to feeling the weight of expectation.
The 53-year-old TV star was determined to make a success of the show, having spent so many years on ‘Top Gear’.
Richard – who starred on ‘Top Gear’ between 2002 and 2015 – told the Daily Telegraph newspaper at the time: “We’re not going to disappoint, because we can’t.
“We’ve got to make this good or they will come and torch us – and rightly so.”
Richard was also looking forward to reuniting with Jeremy and James.
He said: “We’re better when we work together.”
‘The Grand Tour: Eurocrash’ will launch on June 16 on Prime Video.
