The Kia EV6 has quickly become a favorite in the electric car market, and for 2025, it’s getting a series of updates that make it even more appealing. With refreshed styling, bigger batteries, and a performance boost for the GT model, the EV6 is ready to take on the competition.

The 2025 EV6 sports a subtly updated exterior with new triangular headlights and an illuminated strip that runs across the gloss black trim. The rear also gets a refresh with updated LED taillights and a redesigned bumper. New 19- and 21-inch wheel designs round out the exterior changes.

Inside, the EV6 boasts a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen and a more rectangular housing for the digital gauge cluster. The steering wheel takes inspiration from the EV9 with a boxier three-spoke design, and the center console materials have been upgraded for a more premium feel.

Kia has increased the battery size for all EV6 models. The base Light trim now has a 63.0 kWh battery, while all other trims get an 84.0 kWh pack. This translates to a small increase over the 2024 model to an estimated range of 513 km for the rear-wheel-drive long-range variants.

The GT model sees the most significant performance upgrade. In Normal and Sport modes, it now delivers 601 horsepower, up from 460 hp. In GT mode, it matches the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N with a maximum output of 641 hp. Kia has also added a Virtual Gear Shift feature to the GT, simulating mechanical gear changes by adjusting electric motor torque.

The 2025 EV6 also benefits from several technology and convenience upgrades. The charging port has been moved to the left rear fender and now uses the NACS-style connector. All trims get improved steering response, and the long-range model can tow up to 1,225 kg.

Inside, the EV6 features an upgraded operating system with faster processing and offers digital add-ons like video streaming, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and gaming options. Owners can even personalize the display with their favorite NBA team’s colors and logos.

Kia has not yet announced pricing for the 2025 EV6, but a slight increase is expected. All trims destined for the US market, except the GT, will be built at Kia’s Georgia factory, with sales starting in the first half of 2025.
