Kasey Kahne’s decision to return to full-time racing is creating a lot of excitement among fans.
The celebrated former NASCAR star is preparing to make his come back by competing in Kyle Larson’s High Limit Racing Series, scheduled to begin in 2025.
Before stepping into the world of dirt racing, Kahne had an impressive career in NASCAR with 18 Cup Series wins and several pole positions. However, it was health concerns, including issues with heat exhaustion, that led him to withdraw from the hectic NASCAR scene back in 2018.
Still, he never quite left racing; through his team, Kasey Kahne Racing, he remained active and achieved great success, including six World of Outlaws championships.
His journey in NASCAR began in 2004, when he first made his mark by earning the Raybestos Rookie of the Year Award. Kahne’s NASCAR career was full of memorable moments, including winning the Coca-Cola 600 three times. Yet, after 15 years in NASCAR, health issues caused him to step back, allowing him to refocus on dirt racing, where his passion for racing first began.
The High Limit Racing Series was co-founded by NASCAR champion Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet. For the 2025 season, Kahne will be driving the No. 9 car, teaming up with crew chief Eric Prutzman.
The excitement surrounding Kahne’s return is palpable among fans who have missed seeing him on the track. Fans have shared their reactions to Reddit, one wrote:

“But would love to see him run a race back one day.”
Another fan posted:
“I would love to see Kasey in a truck again. See his truck stats, maybe at Rockingham!!”
