Rita Ora is feeling better after being hospitalised in Hungary

The 33-year-old pop star suffered a terrifying health scare which prompted her to cancel a performance at the Campus Fesztival in Debrecen, Hungary, on July 27 after spending a night in hospital and Rita has now confirmed she’s bounced back and is feeling much better.

She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I had a little health scare but I’m back to normal now, back to 100 per cent.”

Rita has not given any further details about her health issues. When she was forced to cancel her festival performance, she informed fans in a post on Instagram, writing: “Please forgive this unexpected turn of events but sadly I will not be able to perform at Campus Fesztival tonight.

“Having spent the night in hospital in Budapest, I must rest thoroughly and follow doctor’s orders. I am so sorry to my fans who are going to be there today and I’m truly thankful for your understanding.”

Rita has been playing shows in Europe over the summer and is planning to release a new album next year.

She’s also hinted there will be a much bigger tour to follow after she releases the new record, the follow-up to 2023’s ‘You and I’ which was heavily inspired by her relationship with husband Taika Waititi.

She told Billboard: “This album is something I’m actually really excited about. I’m spending the rest of the year making it. I’m feeling super, super inspired creatively, just having that essence of feeling a bit like not everything is perfect, which was kind of my motive with this.

“Everything’s just a bit left like that. Sonically, feeling a bit darker, a bit more spicy, a bit more aggressive, just getting in my like, uncomfortable era.”
