U.S. Extradites Former Peruvian President on Corruption Charges

LIMA, Peru—Former Peruvian President Alejandro Toledo arrived in his home country on Sunday morning after being extradited from the U.S. to face graft charges stemming from one of Latin America’s largest-ever corruption scandals.

Peruvian authorities said Mr. Toledo, who ruled Peru from 2001 to 2006, arrived on a commercial flight from Los Angeles that touched down in Lima.
