As a rule of thumb when it comes to selecting the right pair of jean shorts for you, Tonello says to take into account the visual finish you’re after. “Consider whether you’re looking to elongate or shorten your frame,” she says. “Shorter denim shorts will elongate the leg while longer lengths will do the opposite.”
When in doubt, take matters into your own hands to craft the ideal length. “If you find the perfect style but they’re too long for your frame, cut off additional length to create a raw hem or cuff them.” With the denim’s durability, DIY designs are easy to achieve.
